Recommended limits: title ≈ 580 px (about 60 characters), description ≈ 920 px (about 155 characters). Beyond these values Google may truncate the snippet with an ellipsis.

How to use it

Fill in the three fields on the left: the title, the page URL and the meta description. The preview on the right updates instantly and shows how Google might display the result. The counters show both the character count and the estimated width in pixels — the metric Google actually uses to decide truncation. When a value exceeds the recommended threshold, the counter turns red.

Why pixels matter, not just characters

Google does not cut titles and descriptions at a fixed number of characters, but based on the available space in pixels. A capital "W" takes up far more space than an "i": that is why two titles with the same character count can behave differently. Keeping the title within ~580 px and the description within ~920 px reduces the risk of truncation that weakens your message.
